KINDNESS AT WORK (Autumn 2015)
Plans are under way for a formal launch of Sam’s new initiative to promote a culture of kindness in the workplace. This will include offering keynote speeches and seminars for employers looking at how kindness can benefit both their organisation and its people. It will be the first time Sam has brought together his experience from business, monking and comedy – it promises to be quite a unique combination.
About The Show
Award winning comedian and failed Buddhist monk Sam Brady explores his ongoing struggle to be a “good person” and asks why KINDNESS is so undervalued and so hard to practise. Join Sam for an hour of heart-warming, thought-provoking, soul-searching comedy.
“With this naturally funny and charismatic man, there wasn’t one moment of this show that felt contrived or forced. We heard hilarious (and some quite poignant) anecdotes that drove home his point that even though humans are flawed, the little acts of kindness really do make a difference… Emotional and uplifting.” **** (4 stars) Three Weeks
“Sam Brady’s life has taken many twists and turns… but somehow he manages to find humour in even the most difficult situations.” Matthew Bannister, BBC Radio 4
“As he relates his struggle to be consistently kind, Brady reveals the truth of human nature: that it is possible to be grumpy and fussy but also to have moments of true kindness. This is life presented in its true form with highs and lows and much self-deprecating laughter throughout… Go see for yourself and maybe feel a little less cynical about life.” Broadway Baby
Sam Brady is an award-winning comedian and a failed Buddhist monk. He has a story-telling style that is friendly, warm, enthusiastic and candid. His one man shows are moving, thought-provoking and soul-searching, as he continues to try and figure out how to live a meaningful life. (They are also very funny.) In 2015, Sam is taking show Kindness for a repeat run at the Edinburgh Fringe followed by some additional tour dates around the UK and Ireland.
